Our farm came into operation in 1994 out of a demand for clean potato seed. After producing seed potatoes for 10 years previous in southeast Idaho, Bob Parkinson saw a need to raise seed on a farm where the location would facilitate the production of disease-free seed.

After Bob's passing in 1996, his son Doug, took over the seed operation and has continued to be proactive in the production and development of clean foundation seed.

Our isolation from other potato farms has helped us maximize our efforts to meet the demand for clean foundation seed.

As a result, the risk of contamination from other potato fields is greatly reduced because of distance.

This same strategy is implemented within our operation and keeps earlier generations of seed separated from older seed lots.

Why the Location?

Our key objective as a seed producer is to maintain a reliable source of clean, recertifiable seed. We work to become effective stewards of our resources and use them to the advantage of our farm and those we serve.
